Dr. Vinca earned her medical degree at Northwestern University Medical School. She subsequently conducted clinical research at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, before doing her ophthalmology residency at State University of NY in Buffalo, where she was chosen to be chief resident. She finished her clinical training with a glaucoma fellowship at Northwestern University.

Prior to moving to the Bay Area, Dr. Vinca spent several years practicing in Chicago and serving as clinical instructor for residents at Northwestern University. She is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, American Glaucoma Society, and the Peninsula Eye Society.

She has a passion for service work. She has provided surgery through multiple cataract service trips abroad. Locally, Dr. Vinca runs the Eye Clinic at the Samaritan House Free Medical Clinic in San Mateo, which provides care for the working poor. She also provides pro bono eye surgery to uninsured San Mateo residents, through Operation Access.

When outside the office, she enjoys painting, hiking and discovering the best local dive restaurants with her husband David, and doing art projects and building forts with their two young children.

She looks forward to seeing you for your surgical evaluation or medical eye examination.
