Dr. Megan Tai, O.D. obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California,
Berkeley. She graduated with honors as a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honors Society and received Student Fellowship status with the American Academy of Optometry.

She received extensive training at the Veteran Affairs hospitals in San Francisco and Southern Arizona, Ophthalmology tertiary referral centers in New Jersey and New York, and community clinics around the Bay Area, where she managed a variety of ocular conditions including glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy.

Dr. Tai is a therapeutic and glaucoma-certified optometrist and is passionate about educating patients about their eye health.  She is a Bay Area native, being born and raised in Los Altos, California.

 

In her life outside of optometry, she enjoys exploring different foods and cultures, and has a never-ending Yelp bookmarks list of Bay Area establishments to try. Her favorite pastimes include traveling, hiking, spending quality time with her family and friends, or in the corner of Philz enjoying a nice cup of black coffee.
